StreamNet Executive Committee Adopts 5 Year Plan for Coordinated Assessments Project

The Executive Committee provided guidance to partner agencies and tribes this summer by adopting a 5 year plan for the Coordinated Assessments Project. The plan outlines an approach and schedule for selecting indicators, developing shared databases, and generally managing regional data sharing for fisheries in the region.

Tablet Computer Field Testing Report

StreamNet biologist Mike Banach has completed a final report on the testing of hand-held electronic devices in fisheries work, conducted with BPA support in a wide variety of projects last year. HEP information and archives are now available on StreamNet

Habitat Evaluation Procedures (HEP) is used to quantify the impacts of development, protection, and restoration on terrestrial and aquatic habitats by assessing changes, both negative and positive, in habitat quality and quantity. New “Mapper” dataset added!

This new dataset shows the locations of facilities used for fisheries management or passage throughout the Columbia River basin.  The StreamNet GIS map layer displays most fish management and passage facilities in the Columbia Basin. This tool is available as a separate tab under “Maps and GIS data” on StreamNet, or directly here: http://psmfc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=2381a6f4edb2474e860950c38088c819
